The Cornish coast is close to our hearts

MWC has a toe-hold in Falmouth, and the Cornish coast line is close to our hearts - so we are totally delighted to be working with one of the most diverse and sustainable fishing fleets in Europe, the Cornish Fish Producers' Organisation (CFPO).

To help the CFPO celebrate the diversity, strength and vibrancy of the Cornish fishing fleet MWC developed and built their brand new, shiny website. We think the members’ testimonies, striking photography and stories of Cornish fishing heritage help to make this site more than a members’ portal for information, it provides an opportunity to learn more about the fishermen that help to land the local Cornish catch and gives us insight into one of the most diverse and sustainable fishing fleets in Europe.

cfpo film series

In 2018 we co-produced a series of five films with filmmaker Nina Constable for the CFPO. Designed to showcase the diversity of the Cornish fleet and their fishing communities, the videos also exhibit the sustainability of Cornish fishing and the importance of fishing to the region’s heritage, local business and tourism.

The set of films act as a window into the lives of small-scale and large-scale fishermen across the Cornish coast which will help to improve public perception of the industry and help increase the demand and consumption of locally caught Cornish fish.

They serve as excellent visual outreach tools not just for the CFPO but for businesses and organisations wishing to promote the importance and value of fishing, fishermen, and seafood produce to Cornwall.
